The Sawyer Street shoreline restoration project is located on St. George Island in Franklin County, Florida. Led by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, this shoreline restoration project used a combination of breakwaters and native vegetation. The breakwaters were made of large limestone rocks placed on top of a filter fabric.
