Summary
The Millender Park shoreline restoration project is located in Eastpoint, Florida and was led by the FDEP Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve. The project focused on stabilizing an approximately 500 linear feet, medium energy level shoreline using a combination of breakwaters and native vegetation. A rock breakwater was constructed offshore, with a planted salt marsh just behind it and a vegetated upland buffer further inland to help reduce erosion and restore coastal habitat.
