The Cat Point living shoreline project is located behind the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve building in Eastpoint, Florida. The project consists of 16 breakwater structures and many native plant species to help stabilize the shoreline as well as create marsh habitat. The project won the 2023 Best Restored Shores Award from the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association.
