Summary
The FWC Living Shoreline Demonstration Area at the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach, Florida covers 300 linear feet of shoreline. The project was added on to a 5-acre saltmarsh restoration project funded by FWC as an opportunity to showcase various techniques used to stabilize eroding shorelines.

Improvements to the seawall include a coquina planter, an oyster bag planter, and rip-rap with native plants.
